CATALYTIC CONVERTER SHIELD FITS 2016 - 2023 TACOMA

Anyone with the latest version or previously got them in 2024 here?

 

Yes. They replaced the original version I had with the updated version in the spring.

 

Nice! Did you have to remove your skid plate before installation and any rattling noises so far? Also why did you go with this option Over the Millercat?

 

Doesn't require removing the skid. Most affordable option from a good company were my reasons and less complicated install. All you need is something over them and this fits the bill. The new version doesn't have any rattles or noises. I bought the original version early pre order when they first started talking about them. I had the rattle with the 1st version. I contacted them once they resigned them and they shipped out a new set, free of charge. No problems since. There should be installation videos on there website, they definitely had one before. I would recommend it if you feel it's needed where you live and/or park overnight.

Just want to give Feedback. First off customer service is awesome. They knew there was a problem and quickly fixed the issue and sent me a replacement. I had the 1st generation shield during the preorder back in 2022. Had no problems with install although it did touch my driver side catalytic converter which was said to be at the time normal as it was tested on one of their own trucks. Almost 2 years later I heard this annoying rattle. It was about 1100ish RPM and at idle at certain times. I never thought to look at the shield, but glad I did. See pics below as it rubbed a hole on the heat shield part. So who ever has the 1st gen shield. I HIGHLY recommend contacting Cali Raised ASAP for a replacement.

EDIT: I got the confirmation on my replacements being “ordered” and covered under warranty within 5 minutes.

I added these to the truck a few months back. Easier to install on the Tacoma then the 4Runner, but both are pretty easy

I have a newer version and would not know they are there- no noises or anything. Fit is good too. I used factory bolts instead of star bolts provided as they seemed weak.
