    Yeah, I've been doing that no luck yet. I've been pulling connectors too checking for corrosion or any sign of water intrusion.

    I mentioned rain for 2 reasons, one is corrosion on ground wires, the second is that some tacomas, and non one knows why, will start to leak on the PS area in front of the windshield and there is a possibility of water getting into the PCM .

    There is/was a guy here that chased codes, chased grounds and just plain 'ol had a difficult time. He pulled the PCM and opened it up to find a burned spot on the board. There is no way to diagnose that and as I heard a old timey tech say, show me whats good and ill show you whats bad. I like to eliminate the easy things first even if they are considered out of the norm.

    These trucks are pretty hard to kill. Make sure it's a VERY tall cliff.

    Go unplug the connectors for the ecu. I've seen it where the transmission harness leaks and pushes fluid all the way up to the ecu connectors and intermittently shorts stuff.
