I've only ever had one set of Injora tires. They gripped well but I don't know what I don't know

The way I have things laid out (in my mind) is I'll be switching out the C-Bolt links from my current XL chassis onto the regular chassis once it arrives. That or just use the Mazz designs links I ordered.

I'll install the Gladiator links I also ordered onto my XL chassis.

From there I'll run the extra Micro Komodo on the new standard chassis along with LGRP axles front and rear. I'll figure out what transmission later as well as driveshafts and body.

I got the Injora stamped steel ones with brass rings for $21ish and so far I really like them. They were on clearance though, I'm not sure if they have any more in stock.

Forgot about those, they were a solid choice on the FCX!

Starting to have doubts about the Furitec hype. Replaced all the bearings in the transmission. One was notchy. What led to that was the trans getting hot during operation. Hotter than the motor.
It did not make any difference. Motor still runs like shit at slow speed under a load. Just cruising flat, it's fine at all speeds. High speed is fine, scoots over obstacles and hill climbs.
Not sure if it's the motor, ESC or both. Not sure if I want to use the same brand or try something else with less hype and more honest reviews.

    Damn, sorry to hear.

I hear good things about Hobbywing, and I've personally used their ESC's in my track cars years ago.

I didn't need to see this...

What's the wheelbase? (Hoping it's not the same as the AX24...)

Body is advertised as 132mm wb, car is 145mm center to center wheel base.
I was concerned the body was gonna be short on it, appears to be about perfect. :p

Cage only. removed front lower bar for motor clearance. It didn't hit the motor bell, but was a couple mm from doing so.

Removed the Mazz rear plate and the hinge from the Injora body and printed the entire thing with less overall weight and easier to deal with.

I actually kinda love how it looks without the body on and just the cage, looks rad that way

AX24 has a 135mm wheelbase but it also has what I'm guessing is a unique frame vs the SCX... wonder how that would work

Update on the weird torque loss during high resistance scenarios. I think my esc is faulty. I had ordered another lizard pro to throw on my ascent because I bricked the esc on that one plugging it in backwards. Well it came in today and I threw it on the comp rig just to see and it's working as advertised now. Gonna throw the one I think is faulty on the Ascent and see if it does the same thing with the cedar motor

Alright how bad are the stock SCX24 electronics really? I'm back down the GX470 rabbit hole...

I wonder if we are having the same issue, with different explanations. I too get a torque loss under a load, but it will power thru with a jump if I give it the beans.

I've never heard of their electronics being bad.

    Got any reports?

Also, if I keep it in that high load situation without throttling through eventually I get complete throttle loss and have to turn off the the esc and turn it back on for it to respond again. Steering continues to work though. Just no throttle

Correction, the complete loss is my own fault. It's my battery. Just watched what was happening in the app and my battery is hitting my voltage shut off of 3.5 per cell. My bad.

Just feel like it's the general consensus on Reddit, YouTube, and the Facebook groups I was following (before accidentally deleting Facebook permanently-ish)

    Geez, that sucks to hear.

I stupidly fall down the rabbit hole of watching tons of videos on these crawlers, but I haven't read or heard anything bad about the SCX24 lineup. Only their servos and that they fail with any real weight on the wheels.

The GX has stainless steel driveshafts, Injora 50T brushed motor, and Injora Prosteer axles (heavier) and it's still running like a champ.

Original motor is still good, I only bought the upgraded motor cause I didn't want my LGRP transmission to go to waste since I didn't install it into the crawler.
