Apparently you see from her perspective. Of course me being the asshole I am stated “I’ve opened that door a thousand times and never dropped a rifle out of it.” That didn’t go over well.

I believe I discovered the issue and yes it would have been my fault. The door has a rack on it to hold 10 guns. Idk what kind of guns because it’s not deep perhaps single shot shot guns or something. I have 4 rifles with optics sitting on it sideways if the stocks aren’t extended just right they aren’t held securely at the barell. I need to be more careful

 

And just ordered an EGW extended slide stop.

When a firearm is not secure in its rack or on its shelf, definitely an issue. A valid concern of any gun-owner.

I custom-built a wood brace to hold my gun in the side of a nightstand (flocking makes it not scratchy). By design, once in that, it does not just "fall". My other gun sits on its side on a desk, not going to fall (not even loaded much of the time).

 

Nothing in there is kept loaded. But yes, I have been figuring out a strap system
