I have the same set but 3/8 and its awesome other than the fact they skip some wierd sizes. Like theres no 14 for some reason.

 

i got the small screw driver set for inside the house. Its super helpful for little jobs needed in the house. no need to run out to the garage

if nothing else, they're fun to play with. and the pry bar action is hardened enough to deal with more difficult panels...

 

yeah, um, it's a little more like their demo video... my 'gotta-have-it' moment was the flip action. it's half the reason i carry a knife on me all the time. for fidgeting with the blade mechanism. i've got plenty of trim tools that all work perfectly fine. but i didn't have a knife-action trim tool...

So I shouldnt Run Right Out and Get One then LOL. I have plenty of trim tools myself, I was just wondering if it works good on the Plastic Tabs they show it in the Video.

 

it absolutely does work. but it doesn't do it any better than any other trim tool. but i do really like the molded matco grip texture over other dipped/coated variations.

--edit-- considering that my other trim tools are under $20, i think the added $20-ish for the grip/feel is absolutely worthwhile. it's an extremely nice tool, and it's very nice to use. but it's the age-old 'chef knife' debate. a great chef with a dollar store knife can make a far better meal than i can with a custom-forged chef knife.

all of the tools linked below work just fine, as does this tool. this tool just feels better in my hands doing the same thing.

I like that Double Ended Clip Lisle, I am going to have to get one of those ordered. I have the others.

 

I highly highly recommend this set for trim tools, now they are not for prying large door panels off but they are the best I have found. Very thin so you can get them in tight places and sized for different style clips.

??? Not sure if sarcasm or not, matco makes decent tools but of course a set of 5 tools will cost more then 1 tool, Mueller-Kueps is on par with Lisle for high quality specialty automotive tools

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any recommendations for socket organizations in a tool bag.

Currently have all my sockets in three bags (1/2,3/8,1/4) and metric and SAE is all mixed up. Everything fits in this bag (black)

Originally went to this for space savings in the taco and it works wonderfully, but I’m finding I’m using my truck tools as my mobile set and searching for the right sockets is getting old.

Wondering if going back to a hard case in a slim packout case is the way to go. Bags are nice though since they squish and pack nicer.

 

Other then using twist to lock socket rails I have not found a better way to organize a mobile socket set, I finally gave up and bought a husky briefcase set, it doesn't have everything but it covers most of what I need for basic repairs, its easy to see if I'm missing something and its compact.

yeah for sure. Had the blowmolded case that had my sockets when I bought them but it got beat and wasn’t staying closed. Took up a lot of room so went to bags.

been looking at those twist lock rails. May be the ticket.

I got a set of aluminum rails at one point, which was nice because they had rubber end caps instead of molded plastic ones, so I could put my sockets on and cut it to the exact length I needed after.

 

Nice. Was considering this too. Most likely the route I’ll go. Was fine to dig through the tool bag at first but now that I’m using it more and more as a mobile set it’s time to organize it a bit.

I did find the rubber flexible ones if anyone is interested. Little bit too much to bring to Canada for what I need.
