Big dealership collision center won’t work on my truck. They agreed it’s a mess and shouldn’t be driven, but they won’t touch it.

Off on a flatbed to another shop who agreed to assess what needs to be done to fix it or deem it a total loss.

    So now…

I’m in a loaner Jeep Renegade, which is one of the strangest little vehicles I’ve ever driven, but at least it doesn’t sound like the wheel is going to fall off like my Tacoma.

I hate your having this experience Bill I hope you can get help sorting it out. I have a local guy that runs his own body shop and he’s the son of a locally famous body guy. Nobody but bones touches my vehicles he’s a quare bastard like me and everything leaves his shop as close to perfect as humanly possible. Everyone needs a bones.

I tried to buy some crush washers for the transmission when I changed fluid for the first time. One dealer in Spokane flat out refused to sell them to me. Went to the other one and they said “we have nine how many do you need”. I buy all my parts from the second dealer now. No surprise.

I agree. I should have looked forward to getting my truck back, not waiting with a sense of foreboding for the substandard work I correctly assumed was going to be performed.

That bad? Will your insurance total it since it seems it's too much to fix?

    morning boys
while i was at the grocery store yesterday one of my cards was declined. so i tried the other and it was declined so i called the cashier over (self checkout) and she got the 2nd one ot work
didn't think much of it, happens sometimes.
so i get home and get a fraud alert for the 1st card. someone tried to use it to buy something on Amazon - for $16.52  - and thankfully capitol one knew something was wrong and declined the transaction and froze my account. started to make sense that my card was declined at the grocery store.
so i went through the process of following up with the fraud alert, canceled my card and they said a new one will be on its way soon. i dont use it much and honestly just keep it because its my oldest CC account by several years so for credit history I like to keep it around.
for a while now i've thought something was fishy with my paypal account. i will get bursts of scam emails claiming to be from PP and that I have a transation request for anywhere from $899.99 to $1799.99 from random places I've never heard of. I've reported all of them. Called to follow up on a few. A couple of times I will report an email to the PP fraud and almost instantly I get a follow up scam email so its like they're somehow able to track that I reported the first email or something.
well the credit card in question was linked to my PP account. I'm pretty certain at this point that my PP account was somehow hacked and some scammers have been screwing with me for months, just bidding their time.
so last night i decided to close my PP account just to be safe. and now this morning I get an email from them stating that while I can no longer use my account they need to keep my info on file for 2 years in case I have any pending transactions. WTF. I haven't used the account since december, never had any bad marks against me and always paid on time and now they say they need to keep my info for two freakin years just in case? no. gonna have to follow up on that and speed that process along.

yep. stupid criminals. you'd think they woulda tried to get something more than $16.52 from me  kinda pisses me off that I have to go through all of this for such a minor amount.
yep. i will say that i have been impressed with both chase and capitol one for the way they handle fraud cases. they do seem to be on top of it. and this is the other reason i have two cards - if i am traveling and something happens that one gets shut down i know i still have the other to use to get back home. not many trips do i pass up a gas station so something so simple as not being able to fill my tank could leave me completely stranded
