Reverse camera 2013 Tacoma - entertainment system specific?

I purchased a new to me 2013 Taco. There is a camera in the tailgate and a wire harness under the bed where it may connect to. I do not see backup camera as a feature on the dicker sticker (purchased from a vendor). 1. Should there be a backup camera? 2. Is it dependent upon the entertainment system? 3. Maybe the tailgate was replaced that had a camera in it? Thanks in advance.

 

My 2013 Tacoma had the backup camera view in the rear view mirror. It’s possible the tailgate was removed, unplugging the camera and never plugged it back in also.

Forgot to state, this is a Base model. Plain Jane including roll up windows.
