    Hello,
    My tacoma 2007 2.7l displayed a code P2445.
Beside the CEL there's no noticeable changes in the
way it's driving. Since I reside in California I'd to get smog. So, I swap the SAIS with a Amazon oem just to get it passed, and it did. The crazy part of it I replaced the pump last year with the same brand Nova. I did change the intake hose, the secondery injector valve, and install new Uni filter.
When I replaced the SAIS pump that what I discovered:

Looks like the pump has been sucking in water, the only way for it to get in is through the inlet and the pump only runs for about 30 secs on a cold start so something must be throwing water up onto the pump for it to get that much in it.

I'm not going to be of much help here but I'm surprised to see water and corrosion there.. did you wash the engine bay and maybe get water into it somehow?

Thank you for the replies. No, I didn't wash the engine. We'd very little rain here in Sothern California. One thing I need to mention though, there isn't a splash guard on the bottom of the car. I don't know if this helping.

As long as the wheel well liners are in place water shouldn't get into the engine bay too easily.

Is the cover still on the pump or is it missing?

That's the first time I've seen someone have a SAIS pump waterlogged like that.

Yes, it's sealed. When I opened the cover the foam rectangle wasn't in the correct place. That may be an issue. This is after market pump about year and half old.

The foam is just an air filter, it doesn't keep water out.

Thank you all for your input. I'd a thought; I noticed the windshield fluid tank is getting low rather fast. I'd to fill it up after only two weeks. I'm wondering if this has somehow caused the water to be spraying onto the pump. Just a thought. I do know that I'm losing water from the tank.
