I'm seriously undecided when my lease is up to look at Tundra or just go with another Tacoma. I guess the biggest deciding factor is if my promotion goes through this year

That's been the biggest improvement on my truck, just new tires! Been putting them through their paces!

I would love the extra space, because on our cross-country trips we use every inch of space in the taco, but i just love this truck so much. Plus my taco is paid off.

Also…. I feel like I can never have a truck without a shell now that I’ve learned how useful they are, and I don’t want to have to pay for another one:rofl:

My only issue with a bigger truck is I can't fit it in my garage. Now, I plan to build a lean-to off the garage next year and if my calculations are correct it'll be tall enough, so we'll see.

I was up at 4am and saw everything glazed over in ice. When I finally got back to sleep and had an orange Tabby jumping up and down on me at 10:30, I looked outside and it was all gone. Not a trace of it.

Took a couple hours today to put in the top spacers that came with the Westcott kit to help with the tire rub when turning with mild flex and when backing/turning. Afterward I ran around some back roads and jumped a few railroad crossings to settle the suspension, then did a second torque on the cam bolts. Still have rub with hard flexing which I expected, but for normal driving it's good. Driver side needle bearing is mildly unhappy now so will be picking up an ECGS replacement before I put the Westcott spring seats in and get an alignment. When the weather warms up will also do a CMC. Will definitely be replacing the studs for the top strut mount with longer ones from Headstrong as I'm not comfortable with the way it is now, even though I used loctite (see pics). Westcott should include longer studs in their kit. Got the expected ~inch with the spacer.

And yes, as you can tell by the residue on the UCAs.. it needs a proper cleaning.

Looks good. I hear you about the lack of threads showing. I’d be concerned too.

When you do the bushing it’ll be a good chance to change the fluid if your near 30k miles. I had just added some 75w-90 when I did mine way back when. Finally did a full flush last month.

Yes, will be changing fluid in both diffs and transfer case when I do that.

I did the cmc myself but haven’t done anything with the plates. I’m not a welder…
