    Stuff. Also things.
I love my hoist system for the RTT. Keeps it safe, secure, and out of the elements when it isn’t on the truck.

It’s not very #overland, but driving the truck without it on there is worlds better too, especially for wheeling runs.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
They make some security fasteners for the rail system but they're kinda hard to take off and put on

Your truck looks clean. Do you have room to keep it in the garage? I feel like 1st gens are very easy to steal.
I added a camera to the corner of the garage as a little deterrent. Screenshot_20250209-102921.png

Yeah idk who wants to steal a tent but my father inlaw went out to his truck one day and found all the bolts holding the tent down were gone, so i guess some people will try to.

at the same time im not fully sure, because he just used a single nut not even a nylon one to hold it all together so im wondering if they backed off over time.

Maybe they just cross threaded their hardware with lock tight so they didn't need the tent just the hardware

Not at the moment, my side of the garage is tools and workspace, and my wife isn’t going to give up her spot for the jalopy

We did just get some new shelving units though so I might be able to get things organized enough to squeeze it in. That would certainly be ideal!

This was my first thought but the bolt bodies are still exposed, so some bolt cutters could make quick work of it.

Think I’d need to fashion some kind of cover for the hardware, which is probably more trouble than it worth.

I tend to agree with this, especially one that isn’t top of the line or even nice/new…

I just got spooked with my neighbor mentioning his work van getting broken in to. They were probably just looking for tools or copper for a quick flip though, a tent is a lot more hassle.

That is a down side to cross threading. Kinda hard to reuse the hardware after

Or if you just get tons and 40s it will be really hard to reach the hardware

Yeah i always worry when i have pipe on the rack of my work truck or boxs of stuff in the bed. Been pretty lucky so far, only things ive had stolen out the bed if my work truck was a case if gatoraid and some broke bolt cutters.

nothing will stop everyone but bike cables and a lock is a pretty good deterrent. Security hardware or just doubling up on the nuts to just make its more time consuming for someone to do will detour them or atleast prolong the process enough that something will scare them off before they finish.

camreas with a auto on flood light feature will detour people too.

Basically making it look hard to do will stop most theifs because most guys just want a easy quick thing to take, if it looks like it will be to much of a hassle they will pass.

Saw an Ineos Grenadier on the highway today. Not sure how I feel about them.
