What's the best paint and clear coat to use on the toyota grill logo?

Wanting to paint my logo on my grill orange. Wondering what paint could handle the heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. Any recommendations?

I would recommend this, Krylon fusion for plastic. I used this on my engine cover but white. It looked amazing when i was done. I couldnt believe how good it looked after and it has held up very good to heat.

 

x2 for Krylon Fusion. It holds up very well on plastic. They have a clear coat for it also.

Plasti Dip!!

 

I would do plasti dip if they had orange.

 

Yep, I painted the emblem on mine and it held up fine. It was only on for a year but it survived the winter. Plus, with fusion, if it chips you can repaint it. Use multiple light coats and several coats of clear coat and it'll hold up fine.

 

Do you need to sand it or anything? Or just clean and paint?

 

I sanded mine because it was an old emblem and had some pits in the plastic. I wouldn't go nuts, but rough it up with some 200 - 400 grit paper and clean it up real good before painting. I mounted it on a piece of cardboard so I could move it and spray at any angle to get all the nooks and crannies.
