    Not cleaning it regularly - I did when I had to mess with the wires last year to get it working again - has since quit for the second time. My one at home for the doorbell is at least twice as old, if not older, and I have done nothing to it. Maybe that is the answer?? Older and better made - like most everything nowadays????
