Is that still a thing? I haven't seen one around here in years.

Are you talking about car washes, gas stations or them closing when it's cold?

Thanks for sharing your progress with us, we love pictures :fistbump:

Here's the one I built at work 20 some years ago, the bottle is off the back of it right now cause it's empty. This welder does okay on small stuff, not big enough for heavier metals.

Does that serve a purpose or just an ornament?

I've seen gas stations with car washes closed because it's cold recently. Put me in, coach

It is just an ornament I guess, it is also full of sand. Cole and I painted the stove this summer and I took them both off. One came apart and all the sand came out. I don't know what purpose they serve.

There is a car wash every 1/2 mile around where I work. Guess it's like that where the crowds are. Where I live, there is one within 25 miles of the house.

Thwre are some gas stations that have them but the last 2 years there has been an insane number of car washes built in town. I can only think of 3 or 4 that are DIY, and they're all 25+ year old places.

My inlaws built one at their store about 20 years ago, I forget what they said it cost back then. It had one touchless bay and about 5 do it yourselfers and vacuums. For some reason 2 million comes to mind

Well folks, got a bit of commotion at work. Last night right before I left the boss told me "you're going back to 5 days a week starting next week"
I told him that wasn't going to work and got"thats how it is "

So now the wife and I are deciding if I stay or go. I'm not against working 5 days a week. I'm just not sure it will be for them. They also require 3 weeks notice from employees for vacation/schedule changes. Apparently they can change mine with only 1 week notice. Lots up in the air right now.:pout:
