Man that sucks you're roughly 2 hours away. I have a perfectly good MIG welder here that I rarely use. Bought it for some bodywork on an old beater car and haven't used it since. I usually weld only at work (industrial maintenance tech).

 

Yea, I’ve been trying to hook up with @Tonymontana to get the plates welded up… he seems to do some pretty impressive stuff to say the least. I’ve just been pulled in so many different directions with schedule, can’t seem to find the time.

 

Nice! I don’t have the welding touch lol. Maybe if I practiced I could but as my wife says, I have Tourette’s of the hands

I also have alignment plates that need to be welded and then welded on. Though, I think a bead behind each alignment tab would probably be good enough.

I had no goal after I did the cut, just for some reason, decided to get it done while the wheels were off for something else.
