So, whaddaya think about the shit coming our way?
Looks we're gonna be on the northern fringe of it.
We may get 1-3", and north of rte 30, probably little or nothing.

    which reminds me...

I gotta get some whole bean coffee at Aldi's this morning, and it's probably gonna be crowded.
Got some "Barista" beans the other day in the "Aldi's Finds" aisle.
That's where they put the various stuff they pick up from who knows where and blow out, once and done.
    Man, it's good :pccoffee:
Maybe there will be a few bags left.

About time, no one called it Ft Liberty - the whole thing was stupid AF

A news release from the U.S. Department of Defense just after 9 p.m. said the base beside Fayetteville would be named slightly differently than the Fort Bragg of the past. The massive post will now be called Fort Roland L. Bragg.

    Order has been restored

Grrr, it was originally named for Confederate General Braxton Bragg, and established in 1918
So now it's named for Roland L. Bragg, a paratrooper in WW2?
I dislike the sleight of hand being perpetrated there.
Just call it Fort Bragg, for pity's sake.
We have more important things to be concerned with.

I just now looked up Fort Hood, named after Confederate General John Bell Hood.
It's now Fort Cavazos, named for the first Hispanic 4 star general.
No offense to him, but really?

Fort Benning was named for Confederate General Henry (Rock) Benning.
Now it's Fort Moore, named for Hal Moore, of Ia Drang Valley fame (We Were Soldiers).
This one I object to rather less than the others.

These were all evocative names, both for the soldiers they were named after and for their historic associations with the World Wars.
For instance General Omar Bradley ran the Infantry School at Benning before WW2 and contributed to the development of US Army doctrine.
People reading about that period will wonder where the hell was Fort Benning.

I say change the names back and stop trying to re-write/falsify history :annoyed:

    Rant off :sorry:

    They're erasing history...
