Wife carried Cole to the doctor this morning, his hand and wrist was swelled up and hurting from playing at church on Sunday evening. He broke it and pulled a ligament. Was getting ready to sign him up for spring baseball. Oh, he got a haircut the other day as well.

Oh no…Well he could always learn to bat left handed and field and throw with one hand…I broke my foot sliding into second on the first game of a 4 game tournament because some yahoo didn’t seat the bag properly. Slid right into the steel post. By the end of the 4th game I had to cut the laces of my shoe it was so swollen. Landscaped for the next 3 months in a boot. What can I say…it’s baseball

 

That’s the most important thing right there.

Hopefully it goes well. I'd had a written offer from them 2 months ago but turned it down to retain my 4 day work weeks. However, if I'm going to have to work 5 days a week. I'd prefer to do it for them. We'll see if they still want me and if the offer remains the same

 

Stopped and looked at a welding job on my way home yesterday for a guy I've known since I was a kid. Yada yada he said he needs to build a shop so he can buy a lathe and a mill. He has a lead on some parts he can make $10,000 a week on and he figured he could buy a machine for 7 to 8 thousand.

I just stared off into the sky cause the smoke was getting thick where we were

 

I got upgraded to a Jeep rental last night. I asked Meta AI and make me feel better

 

I feel kinda like that guy back in 2023. I dramatically overestimated my capabilities as a one man shop. Sure you could get a PO to machine parts for $10k a weeks. But there are so much more things to consider.

 

This guy is super smart but never has been good with finances and also thinks you should be able to work 4 days a week. He's changed that to 3 days a week now
