Left my laptop in the car last night, got to like 2 degrees. Seems totally fine but the screen is still freezing cold, actually makes the refresh rate slower haha. Getting more normal as it warms up though

Going into work Friday to watch the parade. Don't give two fucks about football but getting to watch the parade from a warm office with free booze and food? Yes please.

Air compressor is back working again, had to change it out.

new one puts out less cfm, so it runs longer, but draws less amps.

it's also way bigger, guess we will see how it goes

If one were to, hypothetically of course, forget to mark their slip yoke before removing it what might their next step be

Probably have like a '90s sitcom style flashback of all the other huge mistakes in their life. Really just make sure you put it back in phase and you have a 50/50 shot of getting it right You're either going to be dead on or you're going to be 180° out

I don’t mean when removed from the diff, but the actual yoke off the spline shaft with the whole driveshaft already removed

isn’t that now like a 1/40 shot of lining up the splines correctly

This came up in Pullman and sold super quick. Has anyone owned one? I guess they must be desirable here.

Yeah they're about the best Jeep you can buy if you get one that hasn't been completely neglected. You don't want the last model years because the heads are prone to cracking but otherwise they're pretty bulletproof little shit boxes

No experience, but an XJ is the only jeep I’ve ever actually had a desire for

Those have always been the best one to buy

My employee had one and he swore by it; he told me if I ever got one to get the earlier variants, something about the fuel rail and exhaust manifold setup leading to *potential* overheating or something

I think he’d already replaced the head on this one.

very easy... make sure the yokes line up

50/50 shot at getting it the way it was from factory if that even matters... which I'm willing to put money on not being the case

I always blow appart driveshafts without marking anything because I noticed the first one I ever had on my table was out of phase before I ever touched it

Everything is neutral balanced... it doesn't matter how you put it together just as long as the u joints are in phase... done about 5 that way and never had even the slightest vibration

It's not necessarily the joints that need to be lined up... it's the yokes

just make sure the yokes are perfectly parallel For each half of the shaft

Because the joints can be lined up with the yokes perpendicular to each other but you'll have problems that way
