"Technically" if you are camping Friday night you would need a AZ State Land permit since we will be on state trust land.

$15 for an individual for a year or $20 for a family.

:notsure: I have never been asked for a permit. We even talked to the guy that patrols out there last time and he didnt say anything about it.

I've been getting the permit every year and I've never been asked for it either. That's why I said "technically". I'll leave it up to the individuals going if they want to get it or not.

I think the only pass I have ever been checked on is the tonto pass. But yes its up to whoever if they want to roll the dice.

Definitely the right thing to do (buying the permit), if camping on State Trust Land.

I have camped on State Trust Land all over this state and have been asked if I had the permit on three separate occasions. YEMV.

Yikes… just got a call from the shop and they are claiming upper/lower arm bushings, upper/lower ball joints and tie rods are all so beat and loose that they don’t want to touch the alignment until it’s all rebuilt… Also said the front coilovers are too long and bottoming out but assume I just need to back off a little preload.

Sounds like a cash grab to me but suppose I should grab a crow bar and start checking. Upper everything has ~5k miles on it and lower ~10k. Tie rod ends are for sure beat. I know I put hard-ish miles on this truck but that still feels like a stretch!

Maybe I’ll teach myself how to adjust those UCAs after all…

Yeah that all sounds a bit sus

Theres a couple good threads around on at-home alignments. I'll probably be trying it myself here soon if I end up installing my UCAs and LCA bushings before RR.
SPC specific stuff you'll have to decipher their instructions tho

    eg. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-do-an-alignment-at-home.252256/

If the LCAs are coming out that might be a good enough excuse to get those fabricated ones that move the ball forward…

@chrslefty how have you been liking those? Worth the price tag?

Well certainly some fear mongering on the phone vs what they were willing to put in to print… but still looks like I’ve got a little work to do.

Hopefully you can make it work, be great to see you again.

Seems like LCAs are a need not a want at this point ;)

It's obviously a safety item. God forbid you are driving her in the truck and the LCA falls off. It's all about protecting her.....
