I seem to have trouble finding the pet friendly stuff here.

My driveway is split with a sidewalk through the middle of it. I'm not sure if it was originally built this way but the sidewalk is lower than both sections of the driveway so when things melt, water pools on the sidewalk and then freezes there. And of course, I'm not allowed to jack the sidewalk. Maybe I should figure out a way to lower my driveway.

I bet if you jack the sidewalk the local municipality will not care. As long as it's angled or ramped to meet the rest of the sidewalk height

Our front walk up to the house dips. The jacker guy said he couldn't do it because it would make other parts off and just cause problems in a different area....
There was a rain gutter down spout that drained to that area for 60+ years.

A few years back I had new gutters put on and had them get rid of that down spout. They just levelled the gutters to run the rain toward the others.

    It helped a lot.

If you have any down spouts near that spot get one of those plastic extension tubes and reroute the water, if applicable.

Edit: I should add there's grass on both sides of the walk and I use an edger to keep the grass from growing over the concrete.
It leaves a bit of a run off trench, per say.

Fun sliding around today on the 4ish inches of snow we got. It slides fairly well. A tad unpredictable at times when you're not sure if it's going to push, or really throw the ass end out, but I'm sure with more practice it would become more predictable. Countersteering is quick which is nice.

I write right-handed but most everything else I can do either or.

My brother is left-handed so playing baseball or hockey at home, as kids, I had to use left handed sticks, gloves....
I've got a pretty mean left-handed slap shot! lol

When I fish, I cast RH and reel RH.

If I'm eating steak the knife is in my RH and fork is LH.

    Never said I was 'normal'
