Thanks for the info. The spot where there was rust on the frame, there was a pocket/joint above it that was holding dirt so I assume it just sat there wet with salt for a long time and rusted through. I might end up just drilling a hole there where the rust spot is so it can drain from now on, and just weld a thick washer to reinforce it. But a little ways down the road when I get time Im going to pull the bed off and go through it all.

Had no idea Arizona Custom Knives was kinda close by. Went over to grab a patch for the headliner. Ended up picking up a knife I had been looking at on their site for the past month. Fallkniven F1, something that will make feather sticks well and strike the fire steel better than my other knife.

State of the headliner. If anyone has been following this whole thread, you know I was going around and collecting Arcteryx patches during the plandemic. Not really to happy with brand so none of them are going up. Ill have to get some replacements, specifically for Chicago and NYC. (dont know why the photos is slightly out of focus).

Really enjoy this build. Like the simplicity and that green color.

Thank you, Trying to keep it simple and budget friendly. Im only adding stuff I actually use. That way I can focus on buying quality stuff instead of having a bunch of cheap stuff.

Also want to show that you can have a ton of fun/adventures with out spending $30k on parts.

Going back to the stuff they put on the roads and how ridiculous it is. So only a couple of weeks driving in those conditions and this exhaust extesion that I just put on for my trip fully disintegrated. It peel apart like a string. It looks this photo but its def not. It broke off from its own weight.

    Mirror failed again.

No way Im driving around FL for even a minute without a dash cam. I swear theres extra fluoride in the water here or something, people really cant drive.
So I ripped the usb input socket out, cut the usb side of the charger off and just soldered it direct. Kind of a sloppy job but I did it right away in the cab to get it up and working.

Welp. The cold killed my Moog sway bar bushings. Grabbed a set of Energy off Amazon because I was tired of the sloppy handling. It appears that I paid the price of trusting Amazons suggest part bs. 26mm was recommend and it really should be 27mm. I guess thats what I get for not doing all the work myself.

Not in the mood to play the return and reorder game, so I just used the sway bushings. Would of been nice to find out before I pulled the bar all the way of but I guess thats the way my cookie crumbles.
    staugstine0182.jpg

    staugstine0183.jpg

The 26mm on the bar. I dont like the gap for rust to form, plus the bracket didnt want to push on all the way. So I put the stocks back.
They are still on okay shape just much softer.
    staugstine0184.jpg

Had to drill the washers out to fit too.

do you stick them up with Velcro? Never even thought to do this but it’s awesome. Been to a few of those spots myself.

Yeah, just use the rough side and the headliner acts just like the loop side. Sticks pretty good.

Read your whole thread from start to finish over the last two days. Your photography and storytelling is captivating. Do you have a youtube channel as well?
Really thought you were going to sell the thing at a couple points throughout your story. Glad you didn't and powered through.

That makes sense. Huge time commitment. If you ever decided to, I'm sure it would be high quality if this thread is any indication.
