You're supposed to follow downwind before the final descent before turning in and allowing your chute to create an air pocket for slowing you down.

Think of it as if hitting a "cushion" in mid-air so you don't hit ground and break your legs.

It was a fun drive into town, lot's of big sticky flakes. I think the ro-ads are pretty clear now.

 

Same down here. It's mostly slush now. Happy I don't have to go shovel a berm this morning or ever again.

 

How has traffic been? I haven't been up that way in a while. Might go for a night or two for our 25yr anniversary in June.

Never fails, first the fires and then the heavy rains bringing flash flooding.

 

yeah they have been putting K rails up all over the burn areas, I work right next to where the Eaton/Altadena fire started and the trucks have been going all over with them since yesterday. They just did mandatory evacuations this morning for the houses in the foothills

More than anything I think the city is trying extra hard to ensure that they aren't caught up in any blame/lack of effort accusations if big mudslides do happen like they were when the fires broke out.
