Come on down! I will point you at them I have since found a less treacherous spot down river a ways. But I still want to put on the right footwear and go back in there and look the hard place over again.

That could be the Davidson, or any one of several other rivers that I can think of in WNC :)

I've owned an inReach and then an inReach mini. Now have a Zoleo and like it better than the inReach devices. And I'm a big fan of Garmin even my dogs wear Garmin Alpha collars when down on the ground and I still rock a Garmin Nuvi in addition to using google maps. Of course phone navigation is worthless without a signal and why I still have a Garmin and will for the foreseeable future.

Zoleo has better texting features by a long shot and standard communication where Garmin has goofy (in my opinion) addresses. The Zoleo has better sat communications in the same places that I have used the inReach. It does require using your phone and Bluetooth to type however if you have ever banged out a text on an inReach that isn't exactly a bad thing LOL.

Here is one review, there are many out there comparing them. Like most of us that have had both he only carries a Zoleo now

I have been updating the basement, project manager is a hard ass. New stainless chimney cap installed the other day when the weather was much nicer. This “Home Maintenance “ stuff is cutting into the fishing budget, but not to bad :DIMG_1030.jpg IMG_1029.jpg
