I wouldn’t disagree with you, however, today’s self defense ammo is far better than it was a few years ago. Most of our law enforcement around here went from 9mm to .40 cal and now They’re going back to 9mm. I based my decision on 8+1 vs. 15+1. One of the things we learned in our cc class is that in a stressful situation, most shots fired will be misses so the more capacity the better.

Freedom to carry is what it's about. Choices are are all individual and right for each individual! I agree with you on self defense ammo has come a long way. Funny, all Phoenix PD went from 9mm to .45ACP.

The dog that bit me got put down. If that one does don't look at it as your fault. It would be the tipping point in a long line of dangerous interactions and for the best.

I actually have to adjust my lipstick and eyeshadow just slightly on my left side because of how my scars pull despite them being barely visible. I was 6 at the time.

Dear me! It bit your face??? Did you have a lot of stitches? That's horrifying!:(

I've never been afraid of dogs before for any reason, but I get it now.

It was a boy. He was sitting down, so I'm not sure that would have worked.

It thankfully was only 2 puncture points so only a few stitches but my poor sister was babysitting me at the time so she shares in the trauma of it though we all laugh about it now.

But I still love dogs and it didn't really deter me. We had a friend growing up who owned a Turkish Shepard that I loved playing with. Now that was a giant dog.
