Cheap fix for amber fog lights...

Thank you. Can you take a picture of what it looks like at night in the drivers seat? I appreciate it. Have been going back and forth between this option or Diode dynamics ss6’s.

 

I can tell you that they’re nowhere near the clarity and effectiveness of those. If you actually want an effective fog light these OEM fog lights aren’t a fix. These overlays literally just change the color of the light. They’re more cosmetic than anything…like I said, kind of a cheap fix. I’m just not into spending $600 and tearing my front end apart to do a true upgrade.

 

I installed mine this morning hoping they had changed the tint and it would actually be amber. Nope, mine are yellow with the lights on. I sent a message to them. I think they need to correct this somehow.

 

They will. Sent me a second pair for free and you just double them up and they match perfectly…(amber marker lights)

 

Might want to rephrase your question, and who the question is to. Tacoma fog lights are SAE compliant.

 

For real…there are tons of brand new vehicles running around with amber DRLS, marker lights, etc. Most states only prohibit flashing blue / red lights on a civilian vehicle.

I’m not worried…

 

They are sending me another set. Prolly be here late this week or early next.

The gentleman I spoke with seemed to indicate they are going to use something different (a different roll) soon.

 

Yeah like I said, they were very helpful and accommodating. That’s all I ask for from a company…

 

Received my second set. They match the Amber turn signals now. Hopefully they won’t cut too much light pass through, not that it matters much.

 

I didn't notice it all at night. Seems to be the same intensity...but honestly, these OEM fogs are nothing to write home about...

 

Yea, they are mostly ornamental which is fine with me.
