its not terribly surprising though. These people lost nearly everything and while the idea of “stand strong, resist offers and rebuild!” sounds great on paper, the reality is that most of them need to get settled again asap and made at least partly whole for what they lost.

it just sucks that the investor vultures exist and are going to swoop in and erase most of what that community was, at least what remains after the fire anyway
