    That’s what sh…… nevermind…

    Welcome
Be advised I loved to fail trucks when they would do mods from searching online when I was working.Especially light
mods. Maine does spot checks with failed/ modified vehicles. My license is more important than your modded truck.
So if someone calls you out on it, suck it up and remove it..

Holding a light for @Sig45? He’s like me. You’ll be in the way more than helping… lol
We have a good time in here. Lots of wicked smarties…
Don’t want to have a bunker meeting so just get along

    (Kinda)

    Which reminds me.
Someone needs to clean the jet.
I wasn’t on the last trip and I saw Cheeto’s on the floor and orange fingerprints on the lavatory handle.
So someone needs to call the offending party and get them back in there and make them clean it up.
    I’m sure it wasn’t Committee personnel so……

And to be clear, my wrenching abilities are minimal at best. Oil change on my Tacoma is about as complicated as I get.

@Tacoma Mike has certified me as an official Light Holder and Tool Gopher.

Ha! Any time I'm a beginner I expect to get told I'm in the way, par for the course, but I still take any chance I can get to stand next to someone who knows even a bit more than me

As for mods, I'm posting in the stock thread for a reason, and I'm certainly not looking to do anything that's out of spec. The best part of the threads that @crashnburn80 has posted is that I got educated about proper adjustment, cutoff and glare, and I'm not trying to cram obnoxious lights into housings that won't produce good results for me or the other people I share the road with. If a tech told me they couldn't pass the truck for any reason, you better believe I'm taking that to heart.

Moving forward, since I'm at 65k miles, I'm putting together a list of maintenance and inspection items for spring and summer. Besides the Official Toyota schedule, is there anything else I should keep an eye on at this mileage?

They do. Fix Or Repair Daily is what we used to call 'em. The best mod I ever saw added the letters L, O, E to the tailgate, FLOORED (definitely not stock).

The Philippine Mars landed at Lake Pleasant, Arizona yesterday, after the engines were warmed up at Sproat Lake, BC in -8c weather. They bypassed a planned stop in San Diego due to a forecast storm.

They're calling for about half a foot of snow here followed by extended freezing rain, then rain. .25 to .50 ice.
    Ain't gonna be pretty.

We tetris'd as many trucks and equipment into the shop as we should, but it's going to mean a day of shoveling out job sites regardless.

Wait, I'm starting to feel kinda sick. Like maybe the kinda sick where I can't go in on Monday...

We're going to see all rain this time around. We're under a flood watch the next couple of days. It's going to be significant amounts. The ground is already super saturated.

Going to be snow, sleet, freezing rain starting tonight.
Going to top off the equipment and run the gen. today.
Could be an issue by Monday morning.
    8° at the moment.
    Gotta get the coffee going.

Story on the local news last night about an ice melt/rock salt shortage here. Allegedly during the storms down south, shipments were directed to those areas.

One local hardware store rented a truck and drove to CT to purchase several pallets.

I have plenty if needed. I prefer to use that stuff sparingly.
