It's a good gig either way, as you mentioned. I'm not a bit jealous either that you get to travel the entire NASCAR circuit

Wow, that 19 was FAST! Happy for Chase. I'm hoping for a breakout year from him. He's one of the most down-to-earth guys out there. My kid latched onto him around 2019. I reached out to him and we managed to get together before Martinsville one year for a little meet & greet. One of his crew guys gave my kiddo his hat, which Chase signed.

Pretty good storm just came through.
    ARCA and Truck practice cancelled.
Duels will probably be starting late.

I turned it on as he took the checkered flag, immediately turned the channel and never went back.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Glad to see JA get JRM into the show. I think this will be the push that Jr needs to enter the cup series in the near future. A lot of good cars were torn up last night but with this new car I do not think it is as big of a deal as it was in the past. That finish in duel #2 was stupid. A couple hundred feet from the line you throw the caution. Fucking dumb. At the line they are still 2 miles from the wreck. Just NASCAR doing NASCAR shit.
I still like Harvick in the booth but he is turning into a paid for NASCAR mouthpiece. Defending the caution saying that NASCAR does not want drivers racing through the wreck. That is a moronic point of view. He said on his podcast the other day that he could not figure out why Dale Jr put the #40 on this car. I was like "well Kevin, blend #40 is written right across the nose. Perhaps that has something to do with it."

NASCAR doing NASCAR shit is why I stopped watching late last season. I’m curious if that caution last night helped someone get into the show that otherwise would not have. NASCAR always has a reason and alternative motive for everything they do.

I was really bummed with not only the result of the 1st duel, but how the 2nd duel turned out. Felt bad for Erik because he legitimately won the race. The catch was Nascar throwing a caution like they did with Cindric barely ahead. I was happy to see him up front part of the night and hope he has a good season. Hoping for some good racing starting tonight with trucks to kick off the '25 season!
