I switch between the metal and plastic every time I change the oil, one is prepped and waiting when the other comes off. Lying on the floor with my arm through the skidplate hole I can hand tighten them until they stop turning so I've not had a hard time getting one off. Yet.

I always fell into this trap with sports cars. Not so much with my trucks.

By the time I got done with the body kits, suspension, rims, tires, wings, exhaust, CAI, headlights, tail lights, interior etc., etc., etc. I would step step back and say what's next. I look at pictures of those cars now and think WTF was I thinking.

In most cases less is more. I mean I'm always going to make mods to vehicles, but I've done very little "aesthetic" upgrades. I try to only make useful changes that don't break the bank. Over the years I've learned my lesson that all those "upgrades" really aren't as good as the OEM parts that I already paid for when I bought the truck.

Placed an order with Wesley Chapel Toyota yesterday for my 1st oil change plus some other maintenance stuff, got enough for the free shipping... BTW they doing a site wide 15% off sale for the next few days...

Should have bought the metal filter housing and plug, but had forgotten about it...

The paint can conceal cracks, making it hard to know if the ladder is safe.

Kind of like makeup on a cougar.

I try not to be like those recipes where there's 3 pages of rambling and you gotta scroll for a minute before you get to the actual steps. Trying to make it ez pz and short and sweet for y'all, show it off and then show some behind the scenes lol. Thanks for the kind words!! Always fun to make the vision a reality.

    Appreciate it!!

Oh my gosh, I have so many smart ass comments in my head about not being able to paint a wooden ladder in Canada but I’m resisting the urge. The struggle is real !!!

I feel you. There are so many things that I want, but so few that I actually need for my setup. Suspension is the only thing I’m wanting to upgrade at the moment but I’m having a tough time swallowing $2k for new shocks and leafs. I’m sure my tune will change once my camper shell is done being painted and is back on the truck.

I don't have much left to do by now lol. Low profile bumper and air compressor are all that's really left on my list, but low on the list since I'm also building an old Supra. Check my sig for links to both build threads if interested.

I know this feels. I tried to do everything right the first time with this truck, but sometimes you're just not feeling a mod anymore or it didn't bring as much to the table as you were expecting and need a change.

Yes, same factory mounting points. They come with flat head bolts, but I found that they are too short oddly enough. I just used the OEM factory bolts.

Question for the group- after my suspension (OME MT64/HD Leafs/UCAs) & driveshaft spacer install. I rotated my tires as well. I've now got a sort of vibration from 19-45mph. It's constant, doesn't change tempo under acceleration, coast, braking. Just a constant rubbb.......rubbb......rubbb. It's not as fast as a tire/driveshaft rotation & I can feel it in the floorboard and pedals...

Any ideas on what's causing that? I aim to get the tires balanced again to try and knock that out as a potential. Anyone else have this experience? This was not happening prior to suspension/tire rotation.

    Pic for attention:
    Thanks in advance!

Perhaps rubbing on the inner fender well plastic or mud flaps?

The tires seem clear- I didn't size up yet, since there's plenty of life in them at 265/65/17. They didn't rub before, but I'll make sure the splash guards are not flopping down and all the clips are still in good condition.
