Almost. A few times a year I'll make chilaquiles with eggs for breakfast.

Should have used his phone to take a picture of the screen instead. Put that extra sprinkle of pizzazz on it.

I've come to love having manual hubs. Spent last weekend putting a long in 2lo on White Rim. Of course a couple spots I locked the hubs as a precaution in the climbs.

Is your 1st Gen a single or extended cab? I just remember it is extremely clean.

Extended cab. Its held up quite well for being at the beach the last almost 8 years. But it's definitely a 10 yard car haha, the exterior paint on the hood and fenders is bad, same with top section of doors. Frame is still nice but things like ucas, spindles, lca, brakes, skid, etc are crusty. I'm hoping to move inland in the next year or two and then I'll feel more comfortable dropping bigger money on it to get it back to where it was.

Imperial Jade and actually most toyota greens age like crap anyway, the clearcoat just isn't very robust and the green oxidizes nearly instantly when the clear begins to get pinholes.

Too true. It really goes fast once it starts. The fenders and hood I accepted but when the doors started going it kinda pissed me off. Back bit of the extended cab and the bed are hanging tough so far. Minus the flares of course.

Surfside Green seems to hold up well at least. Mine is good and so were the handful of other trucks I've seen in the color.

I wonder if it was just a "premium" color that got better treatment?

The basic reds and greens definitely seemed to get the short straw as far as clear coat failure. Purples too.

Front end is mostly this, both sides rolled over onto fenders. Center has been toast for a while.
    My truck has leprosy.
The roof has remained perfect since the respray, so that's something.

I'm impressed anytime I see a 1st gen here with clean paint. Seems like a bit of a rarity these days.

I'm with ya on that. You know how I like old cars and trucks. Simple to maintain and operate. I'm building the Tundra was a family 4x4 pickup so I can go offroad with my sons as a group.

If they know the truck or car is their project, we avoid wanting to trade for something different. We end up keeping the same vehicles forever.

I know you will give it a great build when the time comes.
