Practice is what helps to make it fun!!! 25-30 years ago when I was really into it, I would shoot every day for months before the season (weather permitting) in my back yard...builds up muscle memory, improves accuracy, and it was fun etc.

With a crossbow and scope (and a cocking system), once you get it dialed in, there is really no reason to 'practice' unless you think you bumped the scope or something similar. Except for fun!!!

I had 2 really nice Mathews bows over the years. I shot them almost every day, because it helped me wind down after a stressful day of work, and like you said, it was just plain fun. I really hated to give up bow hunting.

I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*

This is it^ where it’s a hobby almost if you will. I haven’t made the decision in life to get into it to this level. I think that’s the type of practice and commitment it’s going to take to have a chance to be successful in the field.. Hopefully ill change that and make the time, again up to me ultimately!

I could only use a crossbow during modern firearm so probably won’t invest in that unless something changes rules wise
