    Hello All
I have 2004 2 wheel drive Tacoma with about 188,000 miles, and just recently it started vibrating on the right side between 5-20 MPH mostly towards the front of the truck. The car still rides straight when you let go of the steering wheel. I`ve owned it since new and do my own repairs, which are mainly just maintenance. Because nothing ever breaks on my truck. I do have extra weight in the bed for traction, but has been their for months. Thanks

How can you be so certain of "right side, towards the front" as the source of the vibration? Vibrations are notoriously difficult to locate from the driver's seat.

Have you jacked up the suspect corner and checked for play in the suspension components? Are the lug nuts tight?

Lets start with the easy checks like lower ball joints... there is a joke that with Tacomas you have to replace the lower ball joints every oil change, it is that common. Get the front tire off the ground just enough the get a pry bar under the tire and lift, if there is any play you will feel it. If you do need lower ball joints the consensous is Toyota joints seem to be superior to Moog.

Thanks guys. As soon as I get a decent day I`ll jack the truck up. Everything in the front end is original except the shocks. So maybe it`s time to do some replacements. Other than what's happening now the truck is amazing. She has zero rust and is garaged kept.
