I bought a new plug, but my problem was the plug torqued a little too tight to the housing so I needed a new plug to begin with unless I wanted to delay the oil change by the time required to unlock the drain plug ... new housing and plug both this time. I will get around to the unlock the old assembly in a couple of days.

Installed some 265/70r17 Cooper STT Pros. On a 17x9 -12 wheel, it is very tight but no rubbing on stock suspension.

    Looks great, very cool..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That is a lot of weight to balance the wheel/tires, they should have broke the tire back down and rotate it 180 degrees on the wheel... Hopefully you don't have any vibrations...

It is a lot of weight but on the contrary. They ride much smoother than the Terra Grappler G2s they replaced. No vibrations so far up to 75mph.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
My Terra Grappler G3's are regularly taken over 80MPH with no vibration, love those tires. Did have to get them rebalanced a second time but man after that they've been fantastic.

That's good... The truck looks bad ass, tires fill up the wheel wells very nicely... love the look...

After 4.4 years I agreed to have the brake fluid flush along with oil change etc. Didn't expect anything once the brake fluid service was done.

Picked the truck up and did a quick under hood inspection and oil level check to make sure all was good before I left.

First thing I noticed was that the brakes don't grab anymore. When you apply the brakes it seems nice and normal now. Before, the brakes would be a bit hard to modulate to brake smoothly. Brake application with the truck would be slow to engage, a little more pressure to compensate and they would grab too much. Then you would have to back off a bit and re-apply brake pressure. A little quirk that I got used to.

Now you can easily modulate the brakes. Strange. Never had that before with prior vehicles that I owned. Never mind all the vehicles I've driven in 40 years.

Also, did the easy stuff myself that they recommended needing to be replaced.

Same here. Although I always am looking. I often say "Do I Need It?"

Anytime front cam kit? No, but it would come in handy at times.
MESO Puddle Pods? No, but they too would be handy at night.
Bed Stiffeners? No, but I could use some extra tie down points in the back of the bed
DS18 speakers? No, bt the older I get the worse my hearing is.

If I really don't need it, I try and avoid buying it.ñ
I like the silver wheels on the red truck. Looks nice.

My bad I meant the G2s. I got them rebalanced 4 or 5 times but they always had bad vibes on the highway. I thought it was the steel wheels but it’s all gone now!

I like to sleep in my truck.
Installed some OEM foglights!! Super happy. And the best part??? Free! I bought the wiring harness off of Amazon. Will wire direct to the battery and install rocker switch panel.

Did not want to remove the oem skidplate just to change oil, purchased an aftermarket trd skidplate clone for $150. The clone appears 100x more robust than the steel stamps. Laser etched an arrow with 'JACK HERE'. Having to not remove the skid plate for an oil change is nice. While I don't anticipate any serious rock crawling, the thick plate is reassuring if I want to roll over a high curb in a parking lot. =P

Just FYI, I had to bring in the rear bolt holes 3mm for the clone to fit. 7 out of 10 fitment. If you are looking for that perfect fit, get the oem trd plate.

Before the next oil change, ge ta couple of things that make life easier. Fumoto valve to replace the drain-bolt, Motivx tools to make removing the oil filter housing easier and pre-draining the oil filter housing easier. Fumoto is a lever-controlled opening valve instead of "instant flow", also lets you drain a coupld of ounces if you are addicted to oil analysis. The Motivx grabs the filter housing at its strongest point to make breakage less-possible. Motivx sells a tube-adapter that makes draining oil from the housing easier ... step 1 is to screw it into the drain hole, then in step 2 you can slowly screw the other portion of the adapter to release oil when you are ready. The plastic plug that comes with the filters just pushes in and instantly starts flowing the oil from the housing.

Fumoto sells short/long/no nipple models ... your choice because the skid plate protects them all ... nipples just allow attaching a hose to redirect the oil. But they also sell a newer model I think with no nipple that flows faster than older models. Even the older ones take maybe 15 minutes to drain so just pick one and let the critics of your choice "live with it".
