That sticker on top of the axle was pretty bad. If that's the level of detail I'm concerned. I'm an axial fanboy too.

Agreed.....i saw that. But.....that being said, that brake cutting rear axle, its structural rigidity, and its shear colossalness is astonishing.

Broke down and replaced the servo. It's soooooo quiet now, no more whining.
I think it was meant for 1/18. has 25 splines and uses big boi horns. The one I was using was way too small. It did come with a nice aluminum horn, that is the perfect length, but drilled too large for the drag link.

And redid the wire again. Last printed body was down to 30g. Green was too dark, so trying a shade of red. I've been thru 4 batteries so far, average about 45 minutes per. Fat Viper hasn't skipped a beat, doesn't ever get warm, would recommend.

Whatcha using the rear tray for?

Was gonna ask about your layout since I'm now running the same chassis as you.

Nothing more than adding rigidity to the frame. Plus a bit of rear weight. Maybe an alternate battery mount. It does seem nose heavy now. Servo was 3 grams more, amazing how the slightest shift in weight can be noticed.

Yup... hell of a thing... and almost $600. Plus batteries. And it sounds like the axle shift servo is weak. So figure you're into it for $800+ before tinkering with it in any way. Not bad considering what it is and what it can tackle, but there's going to be limitations on what that thing can be run on given how big it is.

If I recall, you also have the 40mm big bore Injora shocks?

Another week and a half to two weeks until they're available!

I've been watching HP's site waiting for their Dementor SS to show in stock - I think I should buy it in case it's a better option for my Dementor links and HP axle.

I didn't like my rig being completely down, so I swapped to the Black Labels.

    20250215_093340.jpg

I got a bit more steering back, since they're slightly narrower than the Trail Kings.

Originally I was going to use these wheels with the HP axle but they match the Meus really well.

Having changed shock positions too, I can really get it to tuck.

Here's the upper rear links just a hair away from hitting the battery tray.

    20250215_100853.jpg

But Tyler's bent links up front still provide tons of room for the motor.

    20250215_100912.jpg

And the driveshaft, well that sits above the lower link so I've still got my clearance in the back.

    20250215_100757.jpg

Thanks for letting me know @Deathbysnusnu that you too run these same shocks. Made me play with mounting points.

Contemplating just buying another Cliffhanger body and doing a similar paint scheme for this one.

That chassis would have me going carrier bearing. That rear is begging you to run high clearance!

Everything showed up a day early, even with a snow storm happening. :D
Had to shorten the rear driveshaft by 1/2". Turns out the internal splines stop at that exact distance. :annoyed:
No biggie, whacked another 1/2" off and welded the splined piece back on. It's in phase and almost straight. :p

new tires, S5 Injora Swamp Claws. Back on the heavy brass with foam and aluminum rings. 54 grams each, not too bad.

Motor sits high, there will be trimming of the front plate. Totally stoked to show off the spinning can.
