snowy and icy out but ran some errands, damn do i still love this truck as much as I ever did

 

Truck looks good. Looks like we lucked out and missed the snow with just some rain showers today.

Sometimes daily driving my old truck I forget how good it really is. I am reminded when my gf mentions how much she loves the damn thing.

 

thanks! thats the good side. the ds is a mess of rust and body damage that was under the bondo the PO left me lol. working up the courage to rattlecan the whole thing something new

it is really hard to beat the 1st gen experience. ive driven so many “nice” vehicles but they just dont have the same appeal for whatever reason

I've always wanted to drive one that is in good shape. Most are ragged-out ghetto cruisers around here.

This was a wild one for 1991. I had a tuned ECU in it for 30 more HP to remove the governor. I had buddies that would top them out at 160 MPH in Utah. I got mine up to 145 on I-40 northwest of Little Rock.

That is flying low when the overpasses go by like nothing. I think it had about 115,000 miles in this picture. The suspension had been refreshed, and the tires were W rated. We tracked it a few times at SCCA events.

thats the thing. i really wanted to mix up some from Napa and respray it to keep the metallic blurple, but i aint got the energy for all that these days

 

it would also look like shit to spray the metallic over the rust bubbles, dents

I saw one of the new wranglers in a purple this past weekend that made me consider wrapping the van in such a color

 

i picked up a couple cases of rust oleum key lime last year but havent been able to bring myself to do it lol

i think im going to order a mini. the xr has been good to me and im liking ios but i want a phone that fits in more of my pockets lol
