    Warranty or not there's still being without the vehicle and dealing with what/if you get another vehicle to drive..that's if they don't try to wriggle out of it

    Definitely happens re the profile stuffs. They hope if you're not local you won't fight the ticket.

    Which is a shame, because I like Jeep’s. Almost bought a Wrangler. Then I drove it on the interstate :laugh:

    Jeep hasn't been the same since the launch of the JL.

    The last of the best was the TJ series.
    Specifically, the AMC 4.0 and Manual Transmissions.

    Like I said, he realized that van was registered to Enterprise, and he was rolling on the dice in winter or not it was an out-of-towner or a local Enterprise employee. My friend Dennis, who is a cop in West Virginia, says that he was pacing me to see how fast I was going based on my description of things. In Pennsylvania, it takes 6 MPH and above to get points on your license upon conviction. “5 over” is what cops recuse it to on the spot if they’re in a good mood, and/or what people with otherwise good driving records get it reduced to when they go to court (I’ve had success with the second scenario twice (in 2017 and2023, respectively).

    If I get pulled over for an equipment violation (or expired inspection/registration), the cop can write as many tickets as they want, because Enterprise will pay all of them. :luvya:

    ***A similar thing happened back in 2016-2017 when the financial firm renting the space above Puck realized that the owners of Puck would continue paying any parking tickets I received for being in “their” spaces while on the job, that violence would possibly occur if my truck was towed or booted, and that I was simply not going to stop parking there, the pricks stopped reporting me to parking enforcement.***

    Luckily, if a rental vehicle from a state other than PA that requires emissions/inspection has either of those expired, PA cops can’t do shit because it’s from out of state. They can only initiate a traffic stop on an out-of-state vehicle if the registration is expired or there’s an obvious equipment violation; I drive all the way from Doylestown to Warminster, and then Warminster to Willow Grove, in the blue Ram from Quebec without even a second look from even other motorists. I see vehicles from Ontario in PA fairly often, but with the exception of the various Carlisle shows during the summer, I generally do not see Quebec plates this far south.

    After discharging my fellow employees at the Willow Grove Branch and dropping off the blue Ram from Quebec, I headed back up to Doylestown in the aforementioned red Honda Odyssey from Arizona without incident.

    Immediately upon arriving back at the Doylestown branch where I work, I was tasked with taking another coworker to Thompson Collision, which is located north of my branch in the Plumstead/Pipersville area (I took the blue Ram in the opposite direction, south towards Philly, and brought the red van back from there). It was while driving solo back to Doylestown from Thompson Collision that I picked up the overzealous LEO, who promptly tailed me from the center of Plumstead until he got off at the 611 bypass at the Doylestown limits.

    We didn’t realize just how bad it was until we sprayed it down with the pressure washer, and the car was subsequently sent to the dealer for repairs…

    That’s 2018 or 2019, because I detailed and even drove a few of those during my time detailing cars at Fred Beans from September 2018 to June 2019…

    Is anybody here old enough to remember the government-mandated ignition interlock that wouldn’t allow the car to start until seatbelts were fastened? That was probably in 1974-1975, and it was unpopular among the American motoring public that it was lifted in less than a year. I’ve driven a few Chevy Malibus since I started working for Enterprise, and this is the first I’ve been in that requires the seatbelt to buckled for the car to be shifted out of park. It’s pointless, because all you have to do is buckle the seatbelt and then unbuckle it in order shift. You do not have to leave it buckled…

    @ABA180

    I drove a Wagoneer from Chapman Jeep in Horsham to my branch in Doylestown, and I decided to test out the sound system. All Wagoneers seem to come standard with an Alpine stereo. This system sounded good, but lacked the oomph of what I’ve got in my truck and certainly what you’ve got in your truck…
