Running lean due to clogged carb passages, you might try dumping some fuel injection cleaner in the tank and running it for a bit - might not work but then again it might and it is easy.

That is basically what I have in similarity. There are few rubber pieces do get deteriorated/self-destructed that need replacing. Low budget system maintenance.

    Lazy tip #2

Take the cover off so you can get to the carb.

Shut the fuel off at the tank and let the engine run out. Pull the fuel hose of the carb intake and blow a blow a good bit of carb cleaner in there to fill up the bowl.

Start it and crank it up to full throttle.

Quickly put your hand over the carb throat until the engine almost dies then let it come back up to speed - repeat, repeat.
The hope is the high vacuum will pull anything out of the passages. :fingerscrossed:

Once you have used up all the cleaner in the bowl turn the fuel back on and repeat the hand thing a few more times.

Someone I know she had the device clogged, after the third service call, the plumber told her that it needs to be replaced.
What he found after the removal was the denture of her dad got misplaced a week ago in the flowing passage.

Did you run ethanol free gas? If not id say the jet nozzle is gummed up or might be some debris in it. If theres a fuel bowl carefully take it off see if bowl is git grit/dirt/gummed up. The jet usually unscrews with a flat screwdriver

I keep a riding mower at my hunting camp that sits for months at a time and I put an iso valve upstream of the bowl. When I get done, iso valve closed off so no feed and run the bowl empty. Ethanol or not fuels gonna break down and gunk up a carb. It cant gunk the bowl if it's not there is how I look at it...

With which part, that ethanol free also breaks down or that if it's not present in bulk it can't gunk(as much)

well, as knot to argue, but, by starting my lower use engines every month, and let them run,15-20 minutes at least, I have yet.. to have any fuel related issues, hell my outboard, which I just sold due to lack of use-n-old age, i didnt even have to choke it, for it to bark to life at least once a month, my atv is 1 hour away, and I dont get to get to it very often, but fires rite up...
