Switch Pros only has one wire(small bundle) that runs through the firewall. Was it really that bad?

There were the 4 wires that went thru for the keypad, and then the 3 for the ignition / lights / aux trigger wires.

Problem is with the 2020+ 4runners is you have an auxiliary fuse box under the hood that you relocate, but even unbolted it's kind of flapping around always in your way as you try to get to the main firewall grommets.

Then I ended up prolapsing the giant firewall grommet trying to pull the 3 trigger wires thru the same gland as the 4 wire, which required me to pull and shove and prod to get it to turn right side out again. I had to use a different grommet for the 3 trigger wires because I just couldn't get em to go. The wire routing actually works just a little better this way but it's still a pain.

The last pass thrus I think I will need to do would be the radio power and cell booster power. Not looking forward to it.:anonymous:

A little lube helps it slide through more easily :laser:

I'd gladly run some wires over this.. About to finish up my 3 month long project of rebuilding the entire rear axle on the Taco. All OEM Toyota parts. New housing, new axle shafts, bearings, seals, 3rd member, all new drum brake components including wheel cylinders and all levers and springs, etc. Hoping to have the brakes reassembled today and get everything filled and buttoned up.

Well, my truck may be a piece of shit and we had to take her subaru, but my girlfriend is now my fiance! We went up to Sedona yesterday and I proposed on a nice hike in the red rocks. It was absolutely awesome!

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
You're supposed to buy the truck parts before she has a say.

Congrats anyway though! :ballchain: Welcome to the club.
