Never had a vehicle with a HUD before my 2024 Trailhunter and now I look at it all the time (whenever ambient lighting allows me to see it) as that's much more convenient than looking down at the dash.

So why aren't 2025 Pro/TH's shipping with the HUD? On Toyota's newsroom product spec sheet for the 2025 Tacoma Hybrid, it shows HUD as standard ("S") for the limited, Pro, and TH trims. Checked local inventory and most dealerships have both 2024 and 2025 Pro/TH models. The 2024 Pro/TH all show HUD as features on the window stickers, but the 2025 models do not have HUD.

Good question. My '25 Pro does not have it, for sure.

Neither the 24 or the 25 Pros had the HUD on the window sticker. The 24s had the HUD listed on the toyota.com specs, the 25s do not. The newsroom spec sheet is wrong...except, apparently, Canadian 25 Pros still have the HUD.

Good point, looks like the HUD was only listed on the Toyota website spec sheet but not the window sticker for the 2024's.

Anyone know why it was removed from the 2025's as a standard feature? Doesn't even look like the HUD can be added back on as optional equipment.

They were being responsive to complaints about the high price, so they removed the HUD and reduced the price of the 25s by $135.

    Wait...I thought it was $165. Don't short 'em, now...LOL.

I'd pay $165 for the HUD.

Honestly, by the time we have convinced ourselves that it is, indeed, somehow worthwhile to pay an exorbitant full-sized truck price for this halo model — we’d surely all have paid $135 more if they’d included it. Hell, I’d have paid $135 more not to have the ARB sport bar.

I’m annoyed because this was the only way to get HUD in a longbed.

    Good job, Toyota.

So it definitely appears the product spec pdf sheet for the 2025 Tacoma is incorrect. This is the product spec website for the 2025 Tacoma straight from Toyota and only shows the HUD as standard on the limited trim. Disappointing to see it was removed for the 2025 model year TH/TRD Pro.

The hud is a goofy looking gimmick. It's a truck not an F-16, LOL. Anyways, Amazon is filled with dash mounted hud units, and they are a lot more affordable, and best of all they are easily removable once the inevitable novelty wears off.

I'd pay $165 to remove it.

I’ve been using hud on my 2015 bmw X5 for 10 years and I would have to say at first it was cool but after a while you just ignore it. 99.9% I’m wearing my polarized sunglasses so it’s hard to see the hud anyway. You guys are not missing anything.

No HUD in my 2025 Pro and I'm disappointed. I tried to adapt one from my previous ride but it's too big.
