its really cool to see you build this, cant think of a single other 3.4 build involving this level of dedication

It's a team effort, and mostly @2RZNoShi1's design. The drag truck gets fun goofy stuff because we don't have too many concerns about space constraints and things normal road going vehicles do

Final profile looks nice, just have to put in the throttle body flange. Using a 92mm e-throttle from a BMW 540i

When everyone's asleep, I go down the rabbit hole - tonight it's learning about the amount of porosity found between the layers of CF in OC's Titan hull.

Apparently, to achieve Toray specs for their CF used, the expected average void volume (porosity) should be at 0.461% or less.

Parts of the hull were cut and tested and found to have an average total porosity by volume of 2.2%.

Yesterday it was weird gamer shit along with this skit

I can't wait until we start building the turbo manifold! It's going to have a very fun surprise for the design The entire goal to start with, is to prove that the stock bottom end 5vz is way more capable than people think. Idk about dedicated though. I'd say more stubborn. I was the same way with the Nissan vg platform too

It will give us the ability to do some pretty solid traction control stuff using the throttle body, and we can set throttle limits if the track is less than optimal to change how the truck accelerates. Plus, it makes driving a large throttle body much easier, as you can deaden the response at lower demand so it's not so twitchy and jerky

    Nice!

I'm probably going to run out of time to make mine, I may 3D print Nylon-X... but thats all I'll have time for I think.

I remember going to high school with some of Johnny's nephews. They were good guys. They were well-liked, hard-working, and smart. I've followed one into adult life.
I think he has spent his career committed to National Park service work.

I wonder how that would hold up? Be neat to see a 3D printed intake but I've seen what the carbon ones do on acceleration, the vibrations and undulations are intense.

I've been running a 3D Printed intake on the 2GR since I swapped it. it only took like 78 hours and 3kg of material to print lol

    It has endured.

Why does your build lack all these important details? I want more information, not because I'd 3D print an intake (think boost would make them unhappy) but because I think runner design and priority is interesting.
