I clear the stock UCA with +5 offset - barely. You should be fine. I posted a pic here:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/285-75r17-perfect-size-on-3rd-gen.588590/page-66#post-30077391

IMG_8274.jpg IMG_8275.jpg IMG_8276.jpg Did a test fit with the 285/75/17 K03, Rays 57 DR-x 17x8.5 0et. Stock UCA. 2020 TRD Pro, eibach pro lift springs front, Icon AAL option 2 rear.

    - Mud flaps need to be removed
    - frontward fender liner heat and reshape

I clear the cab mount by about 1/2 inch rotating the wheel lock to lock.
I clear the UCA by 1/2 inch rotating the wheel lock to lock.

clearly every truck is different, I do not know the current alignment specs and will adjust them and post them once all the wheels are mounted and balanced. I will also take pictures and post the clearance once everything is on. After reading this thread and checking into the data it seems like a 0ET is the sweet spot if you don’t want a good amount of poke. The K03 is also on the narrow side which is why I chose them over the Baja boss and Ridge Grapplers.

I don't, but it’s been aligned twice - just normal Big-O alignments- without issue. Steers true, no bump steer or anything weird.

HA! that would be wild. Crazy how much bigger the 33.8 looks compared to the 265/75/16

5.29 are already in, OTT tuned as well. Truck drives great currently before the wheels go on. I have driven non geared & tuned ones as well. I anticipate a change, but not a massive one. I have a roll up soft bed cover and a middle bumper BA4x4 front bumper, so no huge change in weight from a stock Tacoma. With the potential lack of needed work to make these fit w/o rubbing I hate to say it but I am about 30% regret not just doing a 35x11.5 with a CMC & UCA Upgrade.

I don't know I am thinking that 285/75R17 (33.8) might be perfect. I am running 285/75R16 (32.8) for now but I did (well the shop did) a viper cut and CMC and SPC UCA (I know everybody hates SPC) with the idea when I get a re-gear (I have an OTT tune) I would be all set for 35s.

But the more I look into it and see actual tire dimensions I am convinced 34s like you have are the perfect fit for a Tacoma. I wheel pretty hard, at least I think I do, I do the same difficult and extreme trails the Tacos with 35s in our group do. Their 35's are what? anywhere from as low as 34.4 to a true 35 but a bit to somewhat wider than a 285. So, yeah giving up anywhere from .3 to .6 in actual gain in clearance to keep the 285 (which are just fine off road and weigh less) and still getting taller I think is a win win.

EDIT: BTW that is a badass looking truck with those wheels and tires

I understand the dislike here on TW for SPC. However, there are a tremendous amount of people who have previously or currently running SPC with good results. The adjustability is a compromise with potential reliability headache. I strongly considered SPC w/ the new ball joint before test fitting and seeing I can clear the UCA. I agree, I see all these 3G Tacoma with 35s on social media and here and wanted it. Once I test fit these I do indeed agree it IS THE PERFECT SIZE hence the thread. I do not go off roading at all. The most this truck will see is getting to some camping spots when my children get a little older where we can go as a family. I should be able to mount the rest of the wheels this week and I'll post a final conclusion on the fitment. Thank you for the kind words! Wheels, tires, lift and some creature comforts is probably as far as I will go with the truck for a while. I have no use for extra lights, campers etc right now.

Who runs these tires with OTT tune and stock gears? Does it run good without regear?

I have that setup. E load tires too. Speedo is like 10% off at 65 which makes your mpg reading off too. It’s not terrible but if you’re coming from stock you’ll definitely notice a hit. My dash says between 14-16 depending on driving. I’m pretty heavy though with a canopy, steel bumper, skids and sliders. Down in the 12-14 range with my RTT on. I did tune it probably 3 years ago so I assume there are better upgrades available now.

I'm an inch smaller at 285/75R16 with an OTT (mild/medium) tune and not a re-gear and get about 17MPG on the highway a little less in town but not much 15.8-16. I'm armored up with sliders and skids but stock bumpers and nothing on or in the bed.

I have a KDMax tune. It’s tolerable, but I am seriously considering 4.88’s or 5.29’s. There is just no escaping the math.

I’m waiting to go to this size when my 285 70s wear out, but at my usage rate, that’ll be in 5 years probably, lol. I already have a CMC, pinch weld smash and 4 degrees of caster. TRD replica rims at +5 offset and a viper cut. I can clear the cab mount without the chop, but did it anyway knowing that I’d probably bigger at some point. I suspect I will be good to go with this size.
