Yeah I meant, I wasn't sure if they are supposed to arrive that way or not.

Then I went back and saw the fine print, yes you twist yourself.

Swapped the Furitec trans in the Cheat Code for another Injora. They are identical, but the Injora gears are a bit rougher machined, lapping them in for a few minutes in both directions with a drill took care of that. It's just as smooth now.

Thinking of putting the Mini Komodo and trans in something else, really light weight.
On a side note, when you order the Injora, it's offered in two different colors, it's just the motor mount. The trans is that light gray color for both.

Got my Dementor links assembled, however I'm not sure I want to use my MD chassis for this at all or the LGRP axle.

Not really, I'm still unsure if I want to try 4WS or not.

There are two different styles. The comp crawler pins and the new xhx comp.crawlers. the pins are great but I have not grabbed the xhx because the sizes are under or over the spec in the comp rules for rcmcca

    Yeah.
Man, I've always done fast offroad RC vehicles. Buggies, trucks, short course. But all this crawler stuff has got me thinking . . . but also thinking that I probably don't need yet another way to bleed money.

Ok I can answer this question for anyone considering it.

Due to the width/spacing of the link mounting points on the skid, the Dementors are nearly maxed out as far as how far outboard they can travel.

Because of this, it severely limits vertical travel as it begins to bind.

Which is a small issue considering the frame extends too far over the front axle anyway.

Yeah I wanted to narrow down to a specific chassis before I say 2WS or 4WS.

But so far the MD is a no-go unless I opt to use one of the two sets of links I purchased.

Decided to give up the chassis and one set of links. They're posted FS but I'd be ok with an extra set of links for the first build.

The second build I want it to be way different.

Maybe put a light bend in the end of the links?

I'm going to be buying their Dementor chassis once in stock ;)

It'll be quite a change from the Mazz setup, not to say there's anything bad about it. It's a baaaadass little setup as we all learned.

    Front weight bias anyone?

    20250218_150057.jpg

Got one of those 3Flow9 steering links on the way for the new axle

Best of all, I'll be able to reuse my old body as I was able to remove the magnets without damaging the paint

Seems the paint held on a lot better than I thought it would

Threw on some links, shocks, axle housings with just the shafts, wheels and tires for a mockup to see where the body will end up and if adjustments to wheel base are needed. Really digging the look so far. Slowly but surely. Once spider 9's are in stock I'll have everything for this build purchased.

    @Strictlytoyz

Got an email notification from LGRP

They're sending me a new Trail King tire (since I had that one tire tear in the middle) along with another rear housing

Even though I initially declined the replacement housing (since it's perfectly ok), I guess they decided to send a new one anyway

    Screenshot_20250219-083532_Gmail.jpg

    Also, ordered this

    Screenshot_20250219-083602_Gmail.jpg

What I actually wanted to purchase to try 4WS with was their Valkyrie kit, but they've been sold out for a bit

So figured I'd give this chassis a try
