Here's a whole family picture.. pretty much all of the old and new besrings together minus the rotor bearings. Completed that today and almost done with nose drive. I'm utilizing stud and bearing formula on the bearing mating surfaces as I see some obvious indications some bearings are free spinning are20250215_212650.jpg 20250215_212615.jpg 20250215_212641.jpg

I did start some porting as well with the tb, sc inlet and have had a spare intake manifold to experiment with. Haven't gotten too far but after seeing the sc inlet from the urd adapter it's a pretty substantial restriction. Pics are of a very rough cut.

I have been tuning a few vehicles with hpt lately and the gui is getting more intuitive and informative to me. I definitely would not be doing this many modifications without a congruent understanding of tuning all of it.

Fun stuff. Just don't like all of the metal alloy bits getting in every crevice.

How hard would it be to go back to stock?
    Removing supercharger?
    What parts needed?
Would the ECU need to be replaced since flashed?
    Just thinking

I have a vague memory that JustDSM (saving him the tag) has mentioned that the TRD Tune is one-way and you can’t go back. You can tune on top of it (either the stock NA OEM tune or the TRD tune for supercharger), but how I understood was that you can’t go from the TRD back to the NA tune. Does anyone remember for sure? I feel bad for always tagging Justin.

Removing supercharger would be a chore, but doable. I’ve been considering doing it for my truck before selling it. I’ve been collecting the stock parts to undo but dreading the actual work. (Stock radiator, intake plenum, and more)

No worries on the tag, I appreciate the gesture however :)

So what you stated above was the "rule". I have since procured some new tools that would allow me to revert the ECU to its original calibration even after receiving the TRD S/C update. I can also update the 2012-2015 ECU's to the TRD S/C Calibration even after they've received the N/A TSB Update. In the past those ECU's would have to be replaced to get the TRD S/C Calibration.

I would, however, need the ECU in hand. I can perform these services for $75 + return shipping.

Which gauges are you all running to compliment your charger? Seems like boost, and the air/fuel mixture are the 2 basic needs but would it be smart to grab anything else? Or just roll with a scangauge type?

IMO, Scangauge and Ultragauge don't give you what you need. At a minimum, I recommend Boost and A/F Ratio gauges.

I agree but, if space and/or funds are limited, I think Boost and A/F Ratio gauges provide the minimum info required.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the thoughts here, obviously I'm really close to making my order, but it being large and a free shipping situation I want to throw as much in the box as possible.

Any gauge types/brands to recommend or avoid?

Also I should have mentioned this - I do live up at altitude, about 5800 feet up. My plan was to run the pulley on the m90 out of the box but is there an obvious direction I should be looking due to altitude or is that a non factor? Curious on that.

I went, and remain happy, with Speedhut. I'm not sure if/how their product line has been updated, but what you see here are their GL-BOOST-08 (2-1/16" Boost/Vac Gauge 30inhg-0-10psi) and GL1-265 (2-1/16" Standalone Air/Fuel Wideband with Analog Out, O2 gauge 8.5-18), that I purchased about six years ago. At the time, they had an option to customize with a customer-provided graphic, so I supplied the TRD one shown here. Font, Needle, and Bezel are all customizable. The only "fix" I've had to make was replacement of the supplied O2 sensor last year.

    20190726_125452.jpg

Elevation is definitely a consideration. I live at ~7K ft and periodically drive between ~5K ft and ~10K ft. For me, a Smoothflow 2.5" RIP-modded pulley on a Qwikchange Hub, supported by @Roostfactor's Pulley Wrap Mod, produces ~6-7 psi boost at WOT around my house.

no issues with the tune on top so far in CA. Pulley stealth pulley or one that's not flashy. Do not get the flashy red one, essentially. 2 smogs, no issues. if you do things like larger TB and FPR mod you will need to swap them every couple of years. There are other things. The cam gears I would suggest doing those when you do the blower since you have it already mostly there. Good time to change the valve cover gaskets while your there too.

I'm running the sage gauges and did a custom TRD/Taco logo on mine, too. My AFR Sensor is also acting up. I bought the same one tagged but haven't installed it yet.

Anyone have any proven paths to getting your smog monitors to pass. Normally, I just drive around, but I always hit or miss when it passes the last evap test. I went to smog and forgot that I had refreshed the ECU the night before, so it wiped all my monitors out. The guy said everything looked good but since the monitors weren't ready to come back to do it again to get the certificate.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

Very nice. Did you make the pillar conversion or was that ordered? I like the retention of the ohshit handle.
