Bed level tent. :jelly: looks good bro!

Big thank you to @ahspurlock and @klavender1 for helping me troubleshoot some problems on my Chief's mother in laws Lexus yesterday. Great community or people here.
I don't know why, but everybody I work with keeps asking me to fix their vehicles. Makes me want to buy a nice scanner to make my life easier. I have a medic unit (electrical system and air ride suspension), a 2009 civic si (starter and CSP sensor) and a BMW 5 series (headlight and like 11 check engine codes) waiting on me to fix next shift... And a Crystler 300 (oil filter canister cracked) I'm pretending I don't know how to fix because I don't want to do it without a lift. Any scanners that have tech stream or is that only run on a laptop?

Speaking of I ordered a mid height rack. If I like it more I'm going to use it instead. Do you want the bars back if I decide to go that route? You have first dibs. Haha.

There was a thread over on mud that was discussing a tablet from Amazon that had a tech stream type software on it. I’ll see if I can find it again. Looked promising. Could do pretty much everything TS does.

I use OBD Eleven on the Audi. Pro version does anything a dealership could. They market towards Toyota too. No experience with using it on Toyota, but if it's as capable as their VAG lineup, it'll do everything TS can.

Still trying to convince the wife to be ok with RTTs. She’s either in a ground tent or in an rv. No where in between.

My wife didn't like the ground tent. This past winter I went camping a couple times with a ground tent with a friend in a rtt. And his set up break down time is what made me decide to get a rtt. I bought what I think is a pretty awesome one. I ordered from overland vehicle systems and so far customer service has been top notch. The tent has a lot of features that you pay extra for on other tents. I ordered the three person size.

Glad it might help! I’m on the fence about it too. I’d love to have it but it would give me more things to tinker with. I already struggle to keep up with everything already.

Only thing that would keep me from getting it is possibly getting one that would work on all brands of vehicles

I THINK that one works with multiple brands but you have to buy the ability for it. Someone in that thread was using for his Toyota and Honda I think. I could be wrong. It’s been a couple of weeks since I read through that thread.

I think mine would like it if she tried it hell I might not like it if I tried it so who knows. She just hates the idea of going down a ladder in the middle of the night to pee. I just think the set up and break down would be super easy and quick. I wish there was a place to rent them for a weekend to try it out.

If we're ever are near highlands at the same time you could borrow mine. Haha. You are a grown up that I know wouldn't abuse it. My wife likes to go on adventures but she's also a little fru fru. She wants a comfortable mattress and all that. She wasn't a fan of the small backpack foam mattresses.

lol thanks man. I might try and get her to an overland event so she can hopefully climb up in one and try it. my wife's Bougie as hell too so her not even wanting to try to get off the ground confuses me. but oh well. we've got our first camping trip with our kids planned for march so we'll see how everything has changed for us as far as what we used to think was important before kids. gotta get a new tent and 2 extra sleeping pads and we should be in the game again. no more super long hikes but at least we'll be back to wandering the woods again.
