Truck driver b.s.

20 degrees here this morning, got a winter storm watch for tomorrow. Could be the first real snow of the winter, 5 to 7 inches is the forecast now. Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning. Thursday morning will probably be the worst of it. I'll go pick up my snowblower from the storage bay today after work. I haven't used it in 3 years or more.

 

Good morning driver's. So we moved a step flatbed yesterday, we lifted it at both ends and moved it about 10ft. It was in the way of the 20ft bundles getting thru to the river station in shantytown.
Rain is expected today and tomorrow, they are talking about flooding . Just what we need after Helene.

Winter storm warning today. 6 to 8 inches starting this afternoon into tomorrow morning.

 

Haven’t driven in the last 48 hours without my wipers on. Not supposed to quit until mid morning. You all be safe out there especially in the snow.

 

Good morning driver's, we got 2.86" of rain yesterday. It's gone till Saturday. Hope everyone has a good and safe day today.

 

Time to dig out, snowed all night. Driving should be interesting today.

 

Barely made it to the top. Down to 5 and wheels were spinning!

No more HAZ MAT for me.
Also my very last CDL.

 

My license renews in July, I'll keep my cdl, but it mightt be my last as well. Plan so far is to retire August 1st.

 

My cdl will expire when I’m 70 or I let my med cert run out. Anybody wanna bet which one happens first?

 

I go on the 27th. My CDL and hazmat expire on May 5, but going in early and dropping hazmat and filing exempt interstate since I'm not using my CDL currently.

Got some flurries going on this morning. But Wednesday is going to be the fun day with snow .

 

Man it took me forever to get the snow cleared off the truck this morning and then another half hour dumping air line antifreeze into the lines to get the trailer to air up and release the brakes. Going back into the deep freeze for the next few days, lows around 1 or 2.

Sketchy ride into shantytown yesterday, we had that dry snow on Sunday and the first hill/mountain I had to cross was all ice.
Wednesday morning is supposed to be a snowy ride in too.
Come on spring.

 

It's 5 degrees right now, might drop another degree by sunrise. Left the truck running all night so no start up issues this morning.

 

Truck stop out of dispenser soap. Think I'm gonna take a pass.....
