If you still have the abs module you can remove the ECU half of it and plug it in and everything will be happy on the dash. Then just wire up a led to the parking brake.

Hey guys. Gauging interest on a bolt on trans cooler I have developed.

This is a massive upgrade to the factory cooler. It can include a thermostatically controlled SPAL fan that will be as simple as connecting 2 wires. The fan will greatly assist in cooling while airflow is low, this is big for the rock guys or even for lots of stop and go.

We have found the factory cooler simply is not enough if you’re running bigger tires and a heavier rig.

After 200* ATF life diminishes by HALF every 20 degrees. For instance.

    200*- 100,000 miles
    220*- 50,000 miles
    240*- 25,000 miles.

At 240* the fluid starts to varnish parts and the seals begin to harden. This leads to a short life for the transmission.

This setup is designed to keep temps below 200 under the most severe conditions.

We built a similar cooler setup on a RAM 2500 that was frequently seeing upwards of 250 degrees. This setup brought temps to a very consistent 190* regardless of ambient temperature.

More than happy to make a different mounting setup for guys with a heat exchanger if enough interest is there. Just need some dimensions taken from the face of the AC condenser.

FYI that's the same location the JD fab power steering cooler mounts.

I know it is. That’s an easy remedy. But for what it’s worth, it is being designed mainly around my own steering setup that is in progress. You can only cater to so many others before you shoot yourself in the foot.

I try to listen to everyone as much as possible. Here is this location which should suit the JD fab cooler and magnuson heat exchanger perfectly fine.

To be honest, I never even considered the magnuson heat exchanger so I do appreciate that heads up.

Do you have plans or ideas on hose routing? Maybe leave a little more material on the upper bracket vertical section for a hose retaining bracket. Would it be better to have the ports on the side especially on the driver side mounting.

That is mostly figured out. I will post more soon. There are a few reasons we have it mounted as such. One of which is size. But there’s some pretty cool stuff happening with this cooler! Pretty pumped to get it wrapped up.

PRP hub adaptor arrived. Had to take a break from the cagework to put it on and take it for a spin. Better dimensionally in every way than the stock wheel. Going to keep the quick release on, because I do like the wheel a bit closer to me.

What I didn't realize is that the clock spring is retained. I assumed it would be removed and the horn wiring run straight through. Without steering wheel audio controls or an airbag, all of the wiring for those can easily be tapped for other things, meaning you can have all kinds of functionality at your fingertips with a few more steering wheel buttons.

I kept my cruise control functional with mine as I kept the clock spring intact as well. That’s a sharp looking wheel though! Makes me want to upgrade mine now.

Did you re-mount the entire cruise control stalk, or did you wir up to a new switch and two buttons? I imagine with the brake activated cancel, it'd be easier to rig up a way to use the factory controls.

I mounted the whole stem on the wheel almost like factory. It’s somewhat tacky but it works perfectly.

This might call for some 3d printing creativity. It's low on my to-do list, but if I get around to designing something that works well for it, I'll print an extra for you.

If you could shoot me a number from the face of the ac condenser to the face of the exchanger that would be awesome!
