Anyone come up with a fix for the interior door handles and the center console being loose? Went around the dealer lot and they all have the same problem. Door panels flex when pulled on which causes the gaps to open easily. Center console grab handle causes the whole center console to move.

That was one of my first observations of the door design. It’s very flexible where the handle is and meets the window switches. It’s the same way on the new 4Runner. It does not feel sturdy.

i had some of the same problems. with the inner door handle being loose. dealer said it was normal. i compared to 3 other trucks on lot... it is normal but shouldnt be. also the end piece on the dash that has the little circle tiny storage area keeps coming loose on mine. they installed a new piece but that piece also comes loose in the cold.

I barely bumped the thin plastic panel on the door below the handle on mine and it fell off. It scratched the crap out of it too. I wonder if I get this replaced via warranty.

The only things rattling in mine are loose things I put in there.

Besides the auto-down manual seats and the auto-up headrests, the only complaint I have so far with the interior really seems to be that my wife has managed to chip the plastic cover on the top of the driver window sill. She kind of throws her seatbelt off and the buckle hits it. It hasn't been an issue in any of our other cars, but it is here. I have a feeling I'm going to have to replace that cover every so often.

I wonder if the panel could use more attachment points near the handle?

Maybe the door handle is subjective. Mine’s perfectly tight, but if I intentionally squeeze hard and twist, I can vaguely see what some others point out. Not something I’d personally complain to a service writer about though.

Only real complaint I have so far is the faint “click” coming from the high lumbar area within the seat, occasionally felt in my middle back. Otherwise (knock on wood) I’m more impressed by the lack of buzz & rattles considering how much more stiff the structure is now.

Mine rattles in the passenger A-pillar area when the music is bump'n. At least that's where I think its coming from. Could possibly be the top of the door, too.

My sunglasses make quite a racket in the sunglasses holder. It took me a while to figure out it was the sunglasses. Nothing else rattles/squeaks in mine.

Same. My truck is quiet inside. Haven’t noticed any loose plastics. Build quality is solid, IMO, especially compared to my Wife’s new Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness.

I solved this one by putting one of those little eyeglasses cleaning cloths in the sunglass holder. Not a Toyota fix per se, but felt a little like the guy on the Toyota assembly line with the quick fix that solves a $1 million problem and is rewarded with a pat on the back.

It sounds like some vehicles could have been slipped by Q.C. process on a Friday before long weekend?

I’ve had 3 tacos and this 2024 has more rattle than any of them (2015,2017). My door panel, passenger door panel, sunroof, A pillars. It really drives me crazy and makes audio sound like shit.

Interesting read here, my SR5 has none of the issues you all are posting here. My only rattle was passenger got out and left the seat buckle sitting sort of sideways and rattled between the seat and pillar. Surprisingly drove me nuts for a day and a half until I figured it out. Nice and quiet again. Hope you all figure out your issues.

When I used to work in car rentals and we got a 4th Gen returned to us, the "loose" door handle was one of the first things I noticed. Every single 4th Gen regardless of trim was loosey-goosey right there it meets up with the window switch panel. It's a similar design to the 3rd gen, too where the handle meets up with the window switch panels and while there is some movement in the 3rd gen the new ones are much, much worse. The interior in these 4th gens just feels cheaper in general which is quite an accomplishment considering how cheap and low quality my 3rd gen looks and feels.

I recently test drove a 2025 TRD Off Road and noticed a rattle but thought it might have been the temp tag. Now I'm not so sure. Unfortunately, one of the sales staff accompanied me, so I wasn't able to hear what was going on in the cab.
