Many of those reviews are paid. I would make sure the reviews are legitimate reviews from people in the watch biz.

I would stay away from companies like that. If you're looking to spend 7-800 bucks on a watch there are a lot of great options from legitimate watch brands. Just my 10 cents!

X2. Hamilton, Oris, Tissot are all good brands and similar, if a bit more, price.

What's the "MOTION" mean at the upper left hand on your picture?

My phone takes motion, still photos. They move for about a second then freeze.
It's like a one second video with a freeze frame at the end. Normally my pics don't say motion in them. Unsure why that one does.

There are a bunch of subreddits where they pop up every few years (china time).

Ironically I found one at a street market in Ho Chi Minh City.

It’s at my wife’s condo in Bangkok so I would have to dig it up next time I go there.

I really like the simplicity and “rugged” look of this watch. A band would make it even better.

Yeah, it ticks all the boxes for me without breaking the bank. I normally rotate different color NATO straps, but I am on the hunt for something a little nicer like a woven nylon or fabric band.

Picked up this woven nylon 2 piece off Amazon from T-Strap. Thick and solid. Have it on my Hamilton that I wear daily and has been holding up pretty good. Looks nice on the Hammy, would look good on the Seiko.
    Cheers.

I'll give this a look see. My silicone band on my Seiko 5 automatic is starting to age after 3 years of continuous wear.

Went to 3 stores last week to kick tires. Learned that the Datejust 41 doesn't look too large on my wrist compared to my 36. Thought I was in love with the Aqua Terra silver dial on a rubber strap from all the online pictures; bummed out since I thought it would be my next purchase. Once it was on my wrist it just didn't quite do it for me. Saw a Grand Seiko dealer and the Lake Suwa Spring Drive completely stole my attention.

This is one of those dials that you have to see in person to appreciate. It's difficult to photograph and depending on the light and angle it does different things. I can't stop looking at the thing and the sweeping second hand really steals the show. It's not perfect but boy is it impressive. The "5 DAYS" written on the dial is kind of cheesy but so very Japanese. I appreciate that the power reserve is moved to the back of the case.

    Mystery time.

Wife and I were watching an old Humphrey Bogart movie today.

The movie is called the enforcers

We have been trying to figure out what watch he was wearing in the movie.

We have not been able to Google our way to success. If anyone has a clue to what it is, please share.

    TIA

    Kirk
