Rear 5.29 Gears Only

Yes, another rear gear thread unfortunately. Not to intended to waste anyones time but I am having a hard time finding full kits for 5.29 gears (gear sets and applicable hardware) for the rear only. It seems like everything I can find online is either just the rear gear with no hardware, or the full 4x4 (front and rear) that comes with the hardware. I have searched all over this forum and most threads with a good source had a link or company that is no longer around. Any ideas? (of course ill post this and someone will find a good source online in 28 seconds)

 

What do you mean by hardware? The truck has all of the bolts you'd need to swap out a diff. Not really sure what you're asking for but you can order a regeared diff (front or rear) from ECGS, remove old diff, put new one in, done.

 

^ Yeah, just do a swap with ECGS. Easy peasy.

 

If you own a 4x4 then you're gonna have to do both front & rear OR never put it in 4WD again. They kind gotta match revolutions ya know.

They sell gears as either full 4x4 kits (all install parts plus all gears for both diffs), or they sell it all itemized meaning a master install kit by itself, a R&P kit by itself, etc.


You need to order a R&P for your diff and also a master install kit for your diff. Or order a pre assembled diff like from East coast gear supply or similar.
