Alright, final revision. This should fit anything and everything. Fittings arrive tomorrow and it will be all wrapped up by end of the weekend.

I was all in until I saw you have to relocate the horns. Getting beyond my abilities at that point.

Sorry if I’m late on this!

1.75” from face of condenser to outside of heat exchanger. About 0.25” from condenser gap to the heat exchanger.
    IMG_5013.jpg

Also thought it of note, that the Magnuson radiator used these two holes as mounting points.
    IMG_5014.jpg

I don’t think it interferes with your current rendition as your photos show it close to about 2.5” off the condenser?

What coatings do you guys use after tubing? Thinking about like a rubber sealer like a roof sealant to make sure everything is water tight

Seam sealer is your friend. (And what it’s meant for) Hit up a local auto supply that sells auto body supplies. Use an acid brush to smooth it out.

Used 3m urethane seam sealer. I came back and topcoated it with some Raptor “tough undercoat”. Been holding up really good and sheds mud and crap well

3m seam sealer comes in a caulk tube, and is sold at just about every auto parts store. About to button up some b-pillar floor penetrations, and picked up a fresh tube at O'Reilly's. I think is was $16

yeah the raptor liner 2k is awesome. I end up using sikaflex marine sealant for my seams just cause I know it’s completely waterproof and it’s easier for me to find than seam sealer.

Every time I buy a tube of seam sealer, I think to myself that I should really just use 3m 5200. I have so much of it sitting around from boat projects. Would have to imagine its a good bit stronger than seam sealer?

Try the 3M 08323 sometime. It’s one of the main ones we’ve used for quite some time with restoration stuff. 45 minutes and it’s paintable. And the bond is pretty ridiculous. The one part stuff typically isn’t super spectacular.

Oh absolutely. Two part cocktails from 3m are in a different league. Just peeked at the data sheet for the 08323. Impressive stuff! I think I have a 3m gun around somewhere that'll take that cartridge too. I'll try it next time I need to buy some sealer.

Looks like marine 5200 has about twice the tensile strength of the single part seam sealer. Pretty incredible for what it is. Only downside is the cure time of 5-7 days. Granted that'd keep water out of a through-hull fitting on a race boat that does 150 mph, so you'd be ready to rock and roll the next day on a truck application.

3M two part stuff is out of this world lol. I used panel bond to do my close out plates under the truck where I couldn’t get a welder. Quite sure a 1” bead of that could lift my entire truck. The quick setup and cure times are the icing on the cake.

over 2 ksi in tension is crazy. Welding the b-pillar into the frame tomorrow. i was just going to plate around the penetration with some 14g i have laying around. with the 08323 im pretty sure i could skip welding to the floor at all. perimeter bead would be enough to tear the stock steel apart before breaking the bond

SEM two part stuff is also worth checking out. We’ve had very similar results with their products. All depends on what’s available at the time. Sometimes SEM comes in a little cheaper. 3M has been pretty proud at times.
