if you decide you want just the clamshell i can also pull the add tube and stub so its closer to ready. all up to you lol.

its just sitting here. kept it to build a spare 5.29 front for the taco but it turns out CVs are the fuse lol

Sweet, I'll take it when you're down this way next. Feel free to keep the tube and stub if you want them as spares, but no need to disassemble otherwise. The practice is good for me.

Launched the truck in 4WD tonight, 2 step on the new exhaust is still gunshots and loud AF. But damn as soon as bangs and burbles are done and we're accelerating hard its a good deep engine tone that you could totally have a conversation over. Truck has no issues getting up to 14psi in 1st gear still haha

I think launching at 7psi in 4low 1st would explode the case in short order

It might, I'm not sure, it does admirably being a high pinon on a 4HI launch at least.

Yeah, don't think I want to try punching it in low on the 2step still haha, lotta slop in that system, something may shear before the wheels get moving

That's always fun. When I did the 3k rpm clutch dumps at the track, I thought for sure something would give out but dang it did it take the abuse. Poor truck has never had an easy life.

Yeah, left the launch 2step boost very low at 7psi because I've got a lot of mass to get moving. Maybe one day I'll raise it but I think much more power from a dead stop might be bad news for my driveshaft

I remember flooring my Tacoma in 4 lo on payment one time thinking yeah something will break if keep doing that

But I neutral dropped it dozens of times at 3k rpm no problems, that trans still lives on in someone else's 4 runner

Unfortunately I can't do clutch dumps but 4low launching on dirt is definitely fun. I logged a few on pavement last year while trying to figure out an intermitten hesitation in the throttle, definitely felt like asking for something to snap and I've still got the boost turned down about as much as possible

Damn AI is scary good these days. I asked for the typical 6.0 owner in West Texas.
